The sock

I had started working a sock for Kevin. My first sock!

This is as far as I had gotten on it, about 1/2 way up the heel flap. (had actually gotten to the end of it, but dropped a stitch that I could pick up so I ended up frogging 1/2 way down)

I had put this down when I started working on the pumpkin hats and never picked it back up till Monday.

I ended up frogging the whole thing and starting over.

This time I am doing a 2x2 rib, and I LOVE the way it's turning out.

This is the easy part. Once I get past this, I have no idea what to do, I have directions, but just nervous. Socks intimidate me. I just have to remember to take it one stitch at a time.

Trying to knit with little ones running around is not a good thing. I noticed that I had done 4 purls on the last row. Now I'm tinking back, which sucks so much!

My knitting goals for this year was to be able knit a hat and a pair of socks....I've already done hats, so now I've got to get the socks done.
Next year will be a sweater. But I'm not near as nervous about a sweater as I am about socks.

Hi!! Cute socks. I love socks. Socks are our friends. :)

The flood happened the last week of 2004. We took the kids on cruise for Christmas and had a woman coming by to "check on the house" daily. The temps dropped and the hot water pipe in the attic burst. The hous had 2 - 3 inches of standing water in it when we came home. It cost over ten thousand dollars to get everything fixed and replaced. The house sitter...decided on her own that all she really needed to do was make sure the front door wasn't standing open and took our mail to her house for safe keeping.
Since we have floor vents the water went in there, under the house instead of flooding out of the front door. OY!
