Little Child's Sock (links to an image on flickr) from Knitting Vintage Socks by Nancy Bush.
My pal doesn't like lace, and I don't want to do plain stockinette stitch.
I plan on dying the yarn for my sock pal. She loves color, so I can do whatever I want.
So, should I do a solid color? Different shades of the same color? Multi colors?
Which colors?
This is the problem with not giving any specifics. I'm guilty of this for my pal. I said to do whatever. I guess for me, I sort of want my pal to use her/his favorite colors. Sort of putting their mark on the socks they knit for me.
And just so it's not a pictureless entry:

That's a very nice pattern for someone who wants a little something pretty but no lace. It looks awesome in a solid color! And I bet your pal thought the same way you did about not specifying the color: whatever you'd like to do is great!
Great pattern! It looks like you really found a sock that matches her preferences. I think the stitch definition will be better with a solid (or semi-solid) yarn. Those socks are going to be great!
This is a great pattern. I was tempted myself but decided on a snowflake pattern. I think it's a great choice.
For that pattern I would also go with a solid or semi-solid color. My pal also likes color, so I just picked something I liked.
Oh, you just made this SO easy.
I was about to email you and ask you what you wanted for your socks in some more detail, but now, I know just what to do. :)
Hope you love them!
